Design & Manufacturing Studio

We design and make the details that finish a space.

Fusecrafts is a design and manufacturing studio in Nagpur. We work with architects and interior designers on the parts of a project that are hardest to get right.

“These are usually the parts that get settled last, on site, in a hurry. We settle them earlier, and we make them ourselves.”

The Story & Method

How we start, work, and build.

Five concise chapters: from our workshop origin in Nagpur to our cross-material fusion method and testing archive.

ORIGIN01

How we started

“We set up our own workshop to take control of how details turn out.”

Detailing was usually left to the end of a project, handed to whoever was available on site in a hurry. We started with carpentry, then brought metalwork, upholstery, and finishing in-house so every trade answers to the same drawing and standard.

How we work

“If we think a detail will not work, we say so before it is made.”

Fusion means combining dissimilar materials — brass in timber, cane in metal, lighting built directly into screens. We make full-scale 1:1 samples of difficult junctions first to catch problems before site delivery, always experimenting within the brief and budget.

What we make

“A handle gets the same attention as a four-metre door.”

Doors, partitions, screens, jaalis, wall panels, staircases, integrated light fittings, cabinetry, and bespoke hardware. The scale of the piece never changes the care with which it is engineered and finished.

Who we work with

“Everything is made in our workshop and brought to site finished.”

We partner with architects, interior designers, and discerning homeowners while designs are still evolving. Delivering fully pre-assembled, finished elements means less time on site, zero mess, and no rushed decisions under pressure.

Where we are going

“We want to get better at what we do rather than simply take on more of it.”

We keep every failed sample, cracked joint, and rejected finish in our workshop library to learn from. Our focus is a dedicated testing laboratory, training craftsmen as detail specialists, and partnering with studios globally.

The Founder

Ar. Aziz Rasheed

From architectural scale to the tactile detail.

After years in architecture, Aziz Rasheed found himself drawn to the details that bring a space to life — the craftsmanship, materials, junctions, and thoughtful touches that shape how a place feels. Trained to design buildings, he became fascinated by the finer elements people interact with every day, from a carefully crafted edge to a bespoke piece of furniture.

Over time, this curiosity evolved into a practice of experimentation, bringing together different disciplines, techniques, and crafts to create meaningful, purposeful designs.

Today, through Fusecrafts, Aziz collaborates with architects, designers, and clients to create bespoke furniture, objects, and details that are thoughtfully made, deeply connected to their surroundings, and designed to elevate the way people experience a space.

The Manifesto

Core Principles

Detail is where fusion proves itself.

“We believe that the elements that touch the human hand should never be an afterthought. When architecture resolves its smallest junctions with purpose, the entire room comes into harmony.”

Precept I01

Scale of the Object

Architecture doesn't end at structural walls — it extends to every handle, hinge, and junction touched daily.

Precept II02

Fusion over Trend

Dissimilar materials — cold brass and warm teak, raw stone and delicate rattan — engineered with intentional tolerance.

Precept III03

Workshop as Laboratory

True resolution doesn't happen on a monitor. It is verified physically through 1:1 samples in our workshop.

Precept IV04

Made to Belong

A piece should not merely occupy square footage. It must anchor the architectural intent of the room.
